Always UK Made Mountain Bike Components
Rideworks have been busy running off a few of our 110 BCD chain rings, these are perfect for running 1x11 on your CX (cyclocross) bike, adventure bike, or even your road bike if you feel like it.
The ring below is a 42T, version however we plane to make 38 upto potentially 46 or 48T
Up to 65T Track Ring
We recently machined a 61T track ring for using in track cycling.
Working with Pyramid cycle design (http://www.peekrings.co.uk/) who make fantastic peek/carbon fibre standard and oval rings we plan to machine track rings in aluminium up to 65T.
These large stiff track and velodrome chain rings are machined from 7075-T6 aluminium in the UK and have a tough hard anodised finish.
Rings will be produced in solid track and endurance lighter versions, Using precise tooth geometry they run very smooth.
Our T47 bottom brackets have been selling well, mostly to custom frame builders that utilise them and the extra shell space to route the gear and brake lines through the BB shell.
We initially machined a reduced middle tube that gave extra space around the crank spindle that allowed cable routing, what we didn't anticipate was how the bike is built when ready to be assembled, one cup had to be inserted first then the cables could be fitted, the middle tube would have to then be inserted into place just before the drive cup was screwed in place, you could run them after because they would not fit past the flared end of the middle tube and the shell.
This caused an issue because you had to run cables first before the middle tube was in pace and therefore you had to guess what the cable bend was going to be etc.
We now have a 2 part middle tube on the T47 24 and 30mm BB's this allows you to fit one cup and then the middle tube before any cable are run, you can then install cables and finally pop the supporting section of the middle tube in and the drive side cup.
We currently make T47 bottom brackets in 24mm MTB, 24mm road, 30mm raceface MTB and sram GXP fitment.
T47 versions we are currently working on are Campag Ultra torque, 24mm internal cups for 86.5mm shell
We will soon be offering a reduced middle tube on our T47 x 30mm and T47 x 24mm BB's allowing things like gear and brake lines to pass through and therefore be concealed.
Boost spaced bikes are a new standard that aims to increase the wide of the wheels and therefore the strength of the wheels.
Unfortunately with boost you can not just change the end caps and increase it to 148, the width of the flanges are push further out on a boots hub.
We have just put the finishing touches to our 148mm boost hub, it has all the same internals as the 142 just wider.
We now have stock of 94 BCD narrow wide thick thin chainrings.
Having a BCD of 94 means they are sram specific.
Sram and Raceface direct mount chain rings coming soon.
Save the date, see us along with Ted James Design on stand 84 at Bespoked 2016.
We have been working on some mtb billet pedals, our inital design is a simple one, they need to machined out of billet, look good but be simple and very grippy, they also need to be a good price for our customers.
Paying £120 for a set of pedals in out of the price range for most, so by keeping our pedal simple we can cut down on cnc machine time and offer them for less.
We are making custom pins that should provide lots of grip, along with a concave face. Our spindles will be made from a very high grade alloy steel and will not bend.
